Precision farming for the sustainability of dairy cattle production

3-7 February 2014, Piacenza, Italy

We have the pleasure to announce the Winter School “Precision farming for the sustainability of dairy cattle production”. The school will be held at the “Residenza Gasparini” of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Piacenza, Italy from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th February 2014.

The Winter School is organized in the framework of the project  “Investigation of the genetic basis of novel phenotypes linked to welfare, sustainability and efficiency in dairy cattle – GEN2PHEN”.
Lectures will be given by an international team of experts that will describe and discuss advances in phenotyping methods, –omic technologies and bioinformatics applied to the investigation of dairy cow feed efficiency, environmental impact, interaction between microbes and the gut and stress driven metabolic diseases.
